Ricardo Sarmiento
Stage director, playwright and filmmaker. His most recent play is A strength pushing me down (performance for public spaces, 2017). Works at the independent theater aggrupation La Quinta Rueda. Member of the workshop with the Royal Court Theatre of London in La Habana (2014-2016). Since 2016, is a resident artist of DocumentaSur, a space of creation with the documentary theater director Stefan Kaegi. Soon, will be part of the intensive seminar for playwrights Panorama Sur at Buenos Aires.

Project Title: Track 01
Proposal Summary: Track 01 is a video-performance made after the end of the Wet feet, dry feet policy for Cubans in 2017. Then, I felt a chapter in the history of Cuban emigration was getting to its end, even when the paths were changing. Track 01 is a call for freedom.
